The Challenge
Streamify needed a platform that could serve 4K video streams with adaptive bitrate, maintain watch progress across devices, deliver personalized content recommendations, and support offline downloads — all while keeping infrastructure costs manageable for a startup budget.
Our Solution
We built a dark-themed, cinema-inspired UI with a featured content hero, horizontal carousels for 'Continue Watching' and 'Trending Now', and a recommendation engine based on viewing history and genre preferences. The backend uses AWS MediaConvert for adaptive bitrate transcoding, CloudFront CDN for global delivery, and DynamoDB for real-time watch state sync across devices. Progressive download enables offline viewing on supported devices.
