Craftique — Handmade Goods Marketplace
A two-sided marketplace for handmade goods — buyer discovery with filtered category browsing, artisan seller storefronts, integrated payments with escrow release, shipping label generation, and reviews with verified purchase badges.

The Challenge
Craftique wanted to build an Etsy competitor with better artisan tools — fair payment escrow, integrated shipping label purchase, real analytics on shop performance, and a discovery algorithm that surfaced newer artisans instead of only rewarding established stores.
Our Solution
We built a Next.js marketplace with Stripe Connect for multi-party payments (buyer → escrow → artisan on delivery confirmation), EasyPost integration for shipping label purchase inside the seller dashboard, per-shop analytics (views, conversion, top products), and a discovery algorithm that weighted freshness alongside sales to surface new artisans.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Craftique's escrow payment flow work?
Buyer payments are captured on order but held in Stripe escrow until delivery confirmation (either buyer confirmation or 5 days post-delivery via shipping API). Funds then release to the artisan minus platform fee. This reduced artisan payout time from 14 days (typical marketplace) to 4 days.
